Harbour Tug
Ray_L:
The construction of my New York harbour tug Grace Moran is now complete. It is from a Dumas 1/72 Carol Moran kit with scratch-built fittings. She is modeled in 'as delivered' condition c. 1949. Powerplant consists of a 500 size Mtroniks slow speed motor turning a 1 inch three bladed prop. This made the machinery space rather crowded, but eliminated the need for reduction gears. I am looking forward to her launch and sea trials on the pond. Presently, I am working on towlines, mooring lines, and fenders. If anyone can recommend a good barge kit for her to push/tow I would be interested. Cheers, Ray

Very nice Tug.
Barges are so easy to build from Ply or Plasticard and you can make them as your own Design.
