  Greetings everyone,
         Southport MBC are holding an open day (bring and buy also if you are selling or looking) on Sunday the 21st of July with a Tugs,Barges and Fishing boat theme starting at 8.30 am. Bacon butties, hot and cold drinks will be available on the day. Steve from Scale Hobbies will be attending with his bits for sale and hopefully we can have decent weather. Please feel free to come along and enjoy the superb RC model boats that will be sailing, the turn out at our last regatta was excellent once again so thanks to everyone who attended, we look forward to seeing you all again on the day.

Morning all,
       I discovered yesterday that the Model Engineering club which is next door to our club in Rotten Row is having a Craft Fair on the 21st of July so anyone visiting our open day will also be able to go to the craft fair at the same site should they wish. Let's hope we have some decent weather for both events, the weather has been very good all week so fingers crossed for Sunday. Please feel free to attend.

Greetings everyone,
                      We had another good day with excellent attendance (car park and the road were full) and the weather was kind to us some cloud some sun with a couple of small rain spots but nothing to worry about. Many thanks to everyone who turned up and a very big thank you to our Chairman Paul for doing all the butties (even with a bad back!) ably assisted by Joe, they were non stop all morning. The Craft show was also well attended with some absolute bargains of brass tubing from one stall, 4ft of 3mm brass tubing for £5.00 as an example.
              Lots of boats sailing on the pond and thankfully no mishaps, I managed to meet up with Mr & Mrs Footski for a good old chat, nice to put a face to a name on the forum. Once again thanks everyone for giving us such a good attendance.

Our first visit, but not our last. Great to chat with Pete and a shame we missed Neil. Here are a few of the models I snapped.

probably just missed you, mate.........got there early as the trafic was light, and did ask if anyone had seen you but by about 11,00 there was a traffic warden on the prpwl and i was parked at the entrance on double yellows with bars although i did have my blue badges out, and my back was killing me by that time, so sadly i left.........only for my daughter to say we are going to do some gardening..........i cannot argue with a lady......
but hopefully will get the chance to meet again. perhaps blackpool.
but as you said.........a great do, and i picked up a 6 channel futaba 40 mhz tx/rx off a local gent to me for a price i nearly ripped his hand off  .....all in all, very friendly people and will love to go again.........hopefully with a boat to play with next time,
