Hi Bob

Since I’ve actually one of the few to actually cut a hull in half, ok I extended mine, and I know that you’ll be intending to have yours in half for transportation I recommend doing it in your own time and pace. It takes longer than you expect and GRP is tougher when using rotary tools. You don’t want to find that you’ve cut at an angle or got a wobble when you know that you need to have a good joint later on. You’d think that marking out the halfway point would be easy but it took me a while and that was on a symmetrical hull- I know that yours won’t be exactly the same both sides so there is added complexity.
My suggestion is to take your time and have plenty of cutting tools ready, and of course have a mask on, it produces a lot of dust.

I would just hire a van to get it home, the cost isn't much compared with the risk of cutting the hull in a hurry and before bracing bulkheads are installed.
