Does anyone have instructions for a JJC prop/rudder mixer?
« on: November 12, 2007, 02:56:47 pm »

Hello all.

Just wondering if anyone has an instruction booklet for a JJC Prop/rudder mixer.

I have one. There are connectors for 4 plugs, but not sure what plug to put onto each connector.

Many thanks

Steve

with the circuit board at the bottom, and looking at it with the pins pointing away from you, the two rows of pins on the RIGHT hand side are for the motors.

the rows of pins on the left handside are for the rudder and the centre motors, a bit of trial and error should sort that out

however, please remember that if using a trio of BEC esc's ...
REMOVE THE CENTRE WIRE OF ALL BUT ONE OF THE ESC'S OTHERWISE YOU WILL MELT THE MIXER
I know this because I did just that

Are you sure you have that right ghost, there is four set of wires coming out of the board not pins. I have a mixer but I can't find the instructions anywhere >>:-(

The mixer needs to be seen by the RX as a pair of servos, so I would expect two three wire connectors to plug into the appropriate RX sockets.  Similarly, the servos/ESCs need to see sockets to plug into.
There should be a minimum of two sockets, either in the case or on leads, to connect the two ESCs, and preferably another for the rudder servo, and yet one more for the direct connection of the speed control.
Best way to check is to just plug a servo into everything that can be plugged into, and then plug into the RX.  Noting which servo does what as the TX sticks are moved should allow a truth table to be developed.
