Wiring set up
« on: October 12, 2024, 02:09:02 pm »

X1 motor- blower motor from car heater
X1 12v battery sla
X1 raboesche bow thruster
X1 esc hobbywing 1060
Receiver is dumbo rc 6 channel

This is the running gear to run my tug, the trouble is I don’t know if I can get away with running the motor and bow thruster of the one ecs and battery . Or would I need 2 esc and a separate batter for the bow thruster?

you will need a separate esc for the bow thruster or it will run at the same time as the motor. Is 12v a bit much for the bow thruster? better check. If Ok running the motor and esc off one battery should not be a problem. Mine runs off a 7.2 volt battery that powers the motor no problem. You won't be running your motor flat out when using the thruster will you?

I have a 7.2v battery pack so that can power the bow thruster, I can buy another 1060 esc too. Trouble is the wiring up of it all as I’m unsure how to put it all together

Contact Component shop they have various wiring drawings.  They will be very busy getting ready for the Blackpool show so be patient.

Attached is a set of diagrams for various electrics combinations. Your set up is shown in the bottom diagram. This is shown for two deive motors but the set up is the same for one drive motor and a bow thruster. If your RX has a BEC you don't need the RX battery.

Sorry I forgot to mention, if you have a BEC you need to disconnect the red wire from one of the ESC leads to the RX. This is to prevent the RX receiving 2 power inputs which can cause problems.
