ALAN MILLER

Hi All It is with much sorrow I have to inform all model boaters that Alan Miller passed away on Saturday 25 Jan after a long illness with heart trouble, he passed away suddenly and was cheerful and cheeky ( as always ) to the end. We send our condolences to his wife and son. Alan was a great and long time friend and we spent many happy hours together. Alan was well know in the model world for his demonstration with Mike Bond at most of the model shows from many years ago and along time attender at the Deans Marine open days when he freely gave up his time demonstrating and teaching modelling and a long time writer of build reviews for model magazines published in many magazines all over the world. Our hobby has said goodbye to a lover of our hobby and a true and proper gentleman and will be well missed.

Very sorry to hear that, I used to go to lots of model shows from the mid 80s until the mid 90s and he would always greet us by name and show us what he was building. A great ambassador for the hobby, and for Dean's Marine in particular. A sad loss.

Very sad news indeed. Only had the pleasure of meeting Alan and Mike a couple of times at the model boat shows.
My sincere condolences to the family...
Ray.

A sad passing, over (many years) we would chew the fat at model shows, a greatly missed member of our Community
