Eurosport Closes Leaves Sky & Virgin TV
« on: February 25, 2025, 04:24:20 pm »

As I am sure you are aware Eurosport is closing in the UK at the end of the month. The only way to get the prgramming will be to add a TNT package to your Sky/ Virgin subscription at £30 per month.

This is so sad as I have enjoyed the Cycling and World Superbikes + other bits for many years and it brings into question whether the whole Sky Package is worth having. I am not going to pay £30 per month to cover the very inflated prices that the sports channels have all paid for football rights (which I never watch).

Damn the big US media giants.

I am no expert but I gather that there is to be a one hour weekly cycling summary on Quest + the sprint races from MotoGP and perhaps some other bits. There might be more on Le Tour but I suspect not the Giro or La Vuelta.

F1 was much better when Eurosport covered it, but like ALL sports, big bucks have ruined it. Thought TDF was covered by ITV4?
