An appalling and saddening video just posted showing the extent to which Chinese salvagers have demolished the wrecks of Prince of Wales and Repulse which are designated as war graves.

This follows similar actions in respect of other WW2 wrecks in the Java Sea. HMS Exeter has vanished entirely for example. It is reliably reported that during these salvage operations human remains have been discovered and unceremoniously dumped into mass graves on any convenient deserted shoreline.

Understandably the relatives of those who were lost are very upset.

The reclaimed metal is valuable as it predates the first atomic bomb explosions and is not contaminated by radiation as most current metals are.
