Is the Frsky tamden x18 legal to use in the uk
« on: March 13, 2025, 06:18:32 pm »

Hi. Can anyone please let me know if the 900mhz part of the Frsky tamden x18 is legal or not to use in the U.K. I have had so many views on this, but can’t find anything conclusive on the subject.

If sold in the UK it is perfectly legal as the 900MHz description is just the middle of the range the secondary transmits at. In the UK and EU it actually transmits between 863 and 870 MHz which is a legal frequency band while other countries have their own frequency bands. I don't have the Frsky version but use a Jeti Duplex transmitter wich uses the same band for it's back up transmissions. (Used in turbine powered aircraft to give better signal redundancy.)
