I don't know whether you are wanting to meet other members or to just have a sail at the lake, but when I visited my sister and brother in law regularly, I would always go to the lake for a sail with one of my boats,
They sailed in those days [ 20 or so years ago] it was a Tuesday evening and a Saturday morning, but if you just wish to sail a boat, you can plop a boat in to the lake any time you wish as it is council owned.

The only restrictions which i doubt have changed are fast IC and Steam driven boats, obviously for safety and legal reasons.

But I did have this in the back of the car.... does it still count?!

Hi Erling, Neil and Martin,

Myself and some friends sometimes use this pool. As has been stated it is owned by the local council.
There no boat restriction signs. We regularly sail steam powered models (with current boiler certificates and insurance).
Whilst there are no signs prohibiting IC powered boats, it would NOT be advisable due to the very close proximity of homes. Doing so would likely raise complaints and to be frank the pool is not big enough.
On a sunny, warm day, it is a very pleasant location and models get a lot of attention from locals and people on holiday.

Properly silenced IC engined craft are unlikely to be cause any issue. It's the berks that insist on running open headers that queer the pitch for everyone else.
