Bonjour,
Jean-Claude Blanchon was an extraordinary French model maker whose goal was to create exact, working replicas of the first 60 steam engines created in the world, down to the last detail.

The result, to my knowledge, is the most extraordinary ever seen, and sadly, this collection may be lost, as, having no descendants, he bequeathed his house and collection to his city, which has done nothing with them to this day. Admire:

There is model engineering and there is model engineering, these models are exceptional, I really hope they all find a good home or museum, it would be a crime for them to just disappear.
