Late notice but it's the Bury model boat club open day this Sunday 10am to 3pm, fingers crossed for the weather, currently showing only 10% chance of rain throughout the day but we have plenty of gazebos for shelter
Any types of model boats (except IC) are welcome. At some point in the day, we’d like to get as many varied boats on the water together for a huge group photo. Free parking, Clarence Park, Milner Ave, Bury, Lancs. BL9 6NG
We also plan to have groups of model boats sailing together such as a convoy of warships, lifeboats, trawlers etc.Dust down your models, charge your batteries and bring your boats out for some fresh air!
The
East Lancs Railway is just down the road too so if you need an extra reason to come visit it's a nice opportunity to visit both if that's also your thing
