Seabex one
« on: June 28, 2025, 11:48:34 am »

Thought I'd share some pics of my recently acquired seabex one.

She's been built to a high standard, I don't ever think the builder ever maiden voyaged her, it was part of a online sale that had a moonraker, Atlantic challenger and a Robbie fire boat (which I also bought)

I bought a paddling pool to test the schottle units, check for leaks and ballast her. unfortunately I've been called back to work so it will have to wait till later in the year to finish off.

The plan is to take it to local club events possibly, anyone who has owned one knows how delicate they are.

There is one issue with the build. ill see if anyone can work it out...

She also is fairly twisted, probably like the real ship.

Flag?

The hull on my Fairey Fisherman build is like that. You won't notice it once I've built the superstructure but I may look at remedying it.

Yes - crane being on the wrong side.
Other than that and having a twist in the hull, its a highly accurate, complete example.
One water jet did get damaged and repaired but when i fired it up, leaked i have tried to repair however might need to replace the unit if i can find one.
