Greetings Everyone,
         Southport MBC are holding an Open/Bring and Buy day on Sunday the 20th of July 9am to 1pm (gates will be open before 8am to allow set up time), our Masterchef Paul will be providing his usual excellent fare- Bacon butties up to 11am then Burgers, Hot Dogs and Sausage barm's, hot and cold drinks will be available all day. Hopefully we will get better weather than last month. Tables for SMBC members are free, £5 per table for visitors, please feel free to come along and enjoy our hospitality and you may well find that bargain you have been looking for.

      It's now just 12 days away from our Open/Bring and Buy day on Sunday "20th of July" ( The date has not been changed), everything is getting made ready for the day with the Pond and the grounds looking tip top. Our usual catering facilities are available as in my first post, Steve from Scale Hobbies will be attending for your bits and bobs. Please feel welcome to come along and enjoy our hospitality and facilities. You may well find that boat or bits that you have been looking for. Gates open at 8am.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
       We have been looking at the weather forecast for the weekend 19/20th Sat/Sun and it is not looking good for Sunday the scheduled date for our Open/Bring and Buy day. Consequently we will be assessing the weather forecast early Friday morning when the committee will make a decision whether or not to go ahead with the day or to re arrange to another date. The committee know that a lot of visitors travel considerable distances to attend our Open days so I wanted to give you all a heads up re possible change of date for the event.
         I will post the decision early Friday morning to let you all know what is happening with details, if necessary, of a change of date.

   Greetings Everyone,
                   
                                OPEN/BRING AND BUY DAY POSTPONED FOR 1 WEEK


           Sadly due to the expected Horrendous weather over Southport on Sunday (heavy rain plus Thunder & Lightning) the Committee have made the decision to postpone the meeting for 1 week. The Open/Bring and Buy day will now take place on Sunday the 27th of July, usual gates opening time of 8 am for set up the event will run from 9am/ 1pm with our normal food and drinks available on the day.
           I will post a reminder midweek so visitors can make any arrangements they need to.

                           OPEN/BRING AND BUY DAY DEFINITELY GOING AHEAD ON SUNDAY THE 27TH


     Greetings everyone,
                  I am pleased to let you all know that Southport MBC Open/Bring and Buy Day will be going ahead on Sunday the 27th 9am/1pm, hopefully the weather will be kind to us but we will be holding the event and not letting weather dictate. If you are passing our pond you will see that we have put up a (rather nice) banner advertising the event. As usual gates will open around 8am for setting up of the tables, tables are free to members and £5 per table for visitors. Steve from Scale Hobbies will be in attendance with his boating bits & pieces for sale. Our Masterchef Paul will be cooking his excellent Bacon butties up to 11am then Burgers and Hot Dogs, hot and cold drinks will be available all day.
                 Please feel free to come along and enjoy our hospitality, good food and drinks at very reasonable prices, you may well find that boat bit you have been searching for.

   Greetings Everyone,
         A quick update on our Open/Bring and Buy day last Sunday. Once again we had a brilliant attendance with lots of visitors, the catering staff were run off their feet, all of the food went down really well with our guests and was another success. Many thanks to all our loyal helpers, we couldn't do this without your help. Our final Open/Bring and Buy day is on Sunday the 31st of August and I will be posting a new notice of the event nearer the date.
           Many thanks to everyone who attended on the day, we hope that you all enjoyed our food, facilities and hospitality.
