Following on from our trip to Germany to check out the U Boat war  during WW2 I would like to share a selection pictures taken during our vist.

Submarine U995 type 7C/4 Flack.  Notice no deck gun, the sub can be seen at the Laboe Naval Memorial.

Submarine  type 21 U2540 after the war she became a training ship the Wilhelm Bauer.  She is now berthed in the basin in Bremen for the public to visit.  It is hard to imagine going to sea, especially  in the type 7.  They must have been very brave sailors
