Hi KitS
So sorry to be late in replying.
Thank you for your compliment.!! :-))  This kind of 3D kit seems sooo good for those who wish to enjoy the RC boating itself on the water in short a term around less than 4 months... :-)) :-)) :-))

The piping work is done in the pics below.
And 25 days are left before (successful?) sailing on the lake I set as my "summer project". {-) {-)
But I am not in a hurry so much to complete the model with minimum details, but just a subtle part of my emotion is only expecting confidentially the trial run on the water of this RC boat...!!  %% %% %%
The lake may be waiting for the sailing test to be done as in the pic by the navy of Derek's country.!!! {-) {-) {-)

I'm so glad to post the following pics of completed hull as per the instruction manual except mainly foredeck fittings. O0 :-))
As previously mentioned, this 3D-patrol boat kit has been built according to my own concept of imaginary Japan Navy specifications. {-)  That's why I call this boat "super-Guardian class patrol boat" by its tremendously powerful armament and expected speed that have not been equipped with original Austal's Gurdian 40 class patrol boat. :-)) :-)) :-)) {-) {-) {-)

The left for kit construction is a rescue boat to be set on the stern. :embarrassed:
The fundamental process to go to the trial run is as follows.
Rescue boat->water-proof work->dry-dock pool test to check and adjust the balance of hull->final/overall check of the boat->TRIAL RUN ON THE WATER. %%  The foe or friend to this RC boat is the very wave and wind of the boating lake especially in this season.!!! {-) O0 %% %) <:(
This patrol boat will possibly never be able to patrol and test under such a condition..!!!???? {-) {-) {-) :D :D :D :o :o :o

You have done a great job there, Kiyo! The boat is very detailed and the mast and the gun are the icing on the cake! I will keep my fingers crossed for the pool test and the maiden voyage :-))  Over here it is raining all the time, we had to cancel our weekly club meeting yesterday….

Hi Arno,
A great thanks for your sufficiently complimentary comment.!!!!!!! :-)) :-)) :-))
I fundamentally just followed the instruction manuals only and could come out to this level of detailing..
But,to my regret, I have no other information to add more detailing work which is OK for me sticking to RC sailing itself as a RC boat rather than delicate detailing. {-) %% :-))

It has continued very fine days in Tokyo.

A RHIB is finished and set in place briefly as per the instruction manuals, and the boat will be detailed later if she should sail satisfactorily. O0 :}

Water-resistant procedures were taken around lower deck, which work is always important for fast sailing RC boat with low free board as it is always exposed to continuous splash caused by the speed....The terribly worst if it's rough on the surface..!! <*< <:( :(( :-X  Delicate details will be sometimes disastrous by such a splash attack....  :(( <:( >>:-( {-) {-)

Door opening rods were set, which doors were originally engineered to be workable by servo-operated system but too narrow to do around the stern corners for servo installation. And meaningless to me to do so for this sailing-oriented RC boat. {-) O0 %)
Easy Maintenance of the boat will be possibly disturbed largely by such complicated system in the so narrow space through small hatches.. {:-{ O0 %)  Simple is the best for a RC lake-going fast scale boat at least for me.!!! :-)) :-)) :-))

At last, this boat was commissioned a Japan Navy vessel with the navy ensign flying at the mast.!! {-) O0 %% :embarrassed: :-))
And only two crews are working outside the cabin. :}

(Though actual Japan navy patrol boats(1900t class) now under way are quite different from the pics in its profiles. {-) {-)

Final balance check was done in full load by which this patrol boat is supposed to carry out the first trial run on our boating lake. :-))   In order to get this this well-balanced draught, I set a 130g flat lead ingot ballast at the sternmost position.
I could fortunately succeed in having similar draught line to its 1/1 counterpart this time. O0 :D :-))
This is I think one of the very important scale realism on the water. O0 :D

Hi tica,
A great thanks for your interest in the sailing scenes of the patrol boat on the lake.
I am waiting for a good weather suitable for the first trial run at cruising speed.
Wind speed on the lake is desirable at 1m/s-2m/s(2.3miles/h-4.6miles/h) for the run, but 7-8m/s wind was blowing today
over the lake. {:-{ <:( :-X

Pics below are my worst sailing experience with my flag ship Jupiter-F99 at around 4m/s wind in the winter...
But I was confident for her to surpass the terrible conditions from previous numerous runs as in the pics below. ;)
But operation of the boat was not interesting at all.!!! {-) {-) {-)

Hi Kiyo,
I will keep my fingers crossed as well for sailing the model on the lake. Hopefully the wind will calm down soon :-)) ok2
What will your neighbours have thought at first when they saw you inflating a small pool in winter time {-)  But as modellers we have to bear that others might think we are a bit crazy {-)
Kind regards
Arno

Arno,
 {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)  Thank you for your humorous comment. :-)) :-)) :-))
To tell the truth, I was a bit careful for neighbours' eyes before inflating the pool and thought once to try it in my room using 12V10A sealed lead battery in vain since the cigar lighter type of plug for the inflator pump did not couple with the tabs of the battery. {-) {-) {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ <:( <:(
Not only neighbours but also even my wife may have possibly thought of me as an exceptionally crazy.!!!! :embarrassed: :embarrassed: {-) {-) {-)

Thanks to such an abnormal conduct of inflating the pool {-) I sufficiently could confirm the good stability with the ideal draught as seen below.
Preliminary balance check especially before the maiden voyage is quite indispensable and critically important for the RC fast boat to sail on the large lake/pond, isn't it.??!! O0 O0 %)

Everything is ready for the first trial run after prudent check since I never want her to go to Davy Jones's locker at initial run.!! {-) <:( :-X  I have been waiting a proper weather for the run so far in vain together with my boat hoping the day to come currently as early as possible. I earnestly do hope she will be a good scale runner on our boating lake. %% :embarrassed:
The pics below are the latest profiles of the 3D boat built for a wild lake-going boat. :embarrassed: {-)

Hi all,
I couldn't help going out to the boating lake though it's not sufficient weather for the first trial run.... :(( O0 <:( :-X
I could not wait such perfect conditions for the run any more.!!....And I made it at last despite of a bit rough surface.
A lake is such and such...??? O0 {:-{
The wind speed was around 3m/s(10.8km/h) south-southwest, a bit choppy like the real sea and partly cloudy around noon.
I was a bit anxious about the trial run partly because of the weather and boat itself, since no one can imagine what will happen in
the very first run, especially under such bad conditions like today. O0 O0 {:-{  On the other hand, mirror-like surface is not so interesting for RC sailing as the fully flat/smooth surface may sometimes spoil the scale realism... {-) {-)
Well, shall I have her gone to the off-shore water for trial at the risk of capsize going to the Davy Jones's locker..??? :embarrassed: :o %) <:( {-)
Yes, I shall let her go to the trial.!! %% %%

Hi Arno,
Thank you for a good question.!!................But the result was .......partially very well, partially no good at all.
In the concrete, sailing performance was fundamentally OK as well as reliability as a RC boat. Wind and weather are so capricious
and I could fortunately find a good time for starting the trial runs. {-) :-))
Problem was my poor skill/craftsmanship against water ingress. <:( {:-{ :embarrassed:
But she herself really did so good a job in sailing fast on the rough surface despite that she drank over a glass of water before reaching me as if nothing had happened.!!!!!!!!!    Surprising was that a 260g lipo battery was generally wet by the water since it played a role of main ballast in the bottom of hull. In this sense, the battery also was marvelous too.!!! {-) O0
The clear knuckle lines at bow through mid-ship are sharp and impressive in pic2. O0
Enjoy the pics.!    Seeing always is believing.!!!!! :-)) :-)) :-))

The photos look impressive, Kiyo! Water ingress is the enemy of RC modelling, I hope you can find a solution O0

This heavy drinker of water came back to me unconcernedly as if she hadn't been drunken at all despite that over a glass of water had been wavy in the hull.  a monster!! {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

Hi KitS,
A great thanks for your friendly comment.!! %% <:(

Today I'll attach a You-tube video herewith for more dynamic and lifelike scenes of the first trial run though not satisfactory to me, needless to say.  O0 :embarrassed:
https://youtu.be/YMWWuhetre8
The edges of knuckle lines are causing clearly sharp splash aside the hull in each pic and video. O0 On reaching me at the shore after the trial, she kept over a glass of water in the hull but vivid.!!!! {-) {-) {-) :o :o

Intermission between the test runs. The next run will be this weekend.
Instead, I hereby post a bit unusual comparison pics between my1/38 boat and 1/1 real ones.
Enjoy them.!!
Pic1&2      These two pics especially look like each other..??   Don't you think so,mates??.. {-) {-) {-) :embarrassed: :embarrassed: Helm to starboard!
