Action P94 - two power inputs
« on: August 26, 2025, 10:35:53 am »

As it says in the title , I have two red wires in the centre and two black outer wires so what is the idea? The circuit board says it’s a V5. My previous 94 only has the usual single red and black power wires so I’m wondering what I do with this!! And if I only use one pair, does it matter which one??
Thank you

That configuration isn't shown in the data sheets on the CS Website. It does seem odd.

To be fair Colin, I also have a set of instructions for a P94 to use in a 4 screw boat designed for Mike Harris and that includes two sets of power wires but they are fastened to an Action P92 power distribution board, one power supply for each of the two 'circuits' on the P92. I don't have a P92 but I see that it is still in stock at Component Shop but do I need one? Maybe I just put both reds into one screw connector and both black into another and then the battery female socket into the two pairs of power leads? As I mentioned, the P94 circuit board said that it was a V5 so it's an older unit - the old screw top box variety.

Maybe the answer is to ask Component Shop??
