Also I’ve corrected plans where the shafts aft bearings changed from “A” to “P” as per KITS info.

No, it wasn't me, it was Nige (littoralcombat) who pointed that out.

So I only have to take off the superstructure when I need access for maintenance and battery change. I’ve put the main power and aux power switches at the stern which access is via a removal section of the flight deck.

Electronic being installed.

Plan is to have install LEDs lights in these areas as I build them,  hanger, flight deck, nav, bridge main mast.

Dave, the Glasgow Richmond Model Boat Club used to power their Type 21's with Deccaperm Motors. The racket from the gearboxes used to sound like Gas Turbines.

Detomo,

My setup uses the following Scalewarships components

12 v distribution board for power distribution, this unit I plug in a 11.1 3c lipo battery.
The board has a 5v 3A UBEC (Universal Battery Eliminator Circuit) I use this for powering the 8 ways switch

8 way switching unit
This unit I use to switch no / off , radar,  LEDs  in different areas ie hanger, nav, bridge etc.

LED Bus bars are used to power up multi LEDs for the flight deck. These bus bars are Switched using the 8way unit.

I’ve built a control box which houses a 10 channel receiver two 30amp mtronic ESC and a cooling fan. This control box can be unplugged and transferred to multi of other of my models.

The LEDs are 12v pre wired 0.5 mm purchased from Amazon

Hi Gents bit of an update,

First pic is really for Paul (KingP) and is how I’ve build the first part of the super structure. I know some you may think this is to fragile but as I need to keep the top weight a light as possible, then this what I’ve done. It’s also worth noting I only require to remove the superstructure to change the battery and maintenance. Switch on/ off is done by the flight deck access.

The second pic is the hull ready for black boot line and hull grey, next is to finish off the deck edging and mark fitting locations.

Great progress David, she's displaying those classic Type 21 lines that never seem to get old in my book.
I'm thoroughly enjoying your build log.

Thanks Gents for your lovely comments.

Yesterday and to day I’ve been doing some filler primming and making fittings.

When I was going to college for my marine apprenticeship, I used the fairy that pass Vospers where some of the type 21 were fitting out.
Always loved them and wished to make one, 50 years on I am {-)
