Figure created with AI and 3D printed
« on: October 15, 2025, 04:09:02 pm »

Couldn't find a figure of a woman sitting down holding a bottle for my ongoing build  <:(
Makerworld.com (BambuLab) have a "Imaged to 3D model" generator which I have used several times. So I asked Chapgpt to generate a picture as this "Create a picture of woman sitting on a chair, medium details, good for creating a 3D figure for 3D printing. Use a plain white background with soft studio lighting." When I got this I asked it to add a bottle the right hand and finally I asked it to remove the chair it added.
I got this out of it. The last pic. is of it printed in 1-10 with resin.

The body looks nice, but the face still leaves room for improvement :embarrassed:

I guess that it's due this part of the request "medium details" and that I used the fee subscription of Chatgpt.

That's a really interesting way to use the AI, thanks for sharing.

I'm printing a 1-10 model of a Dutch Opduwer (Build description will follow when I start)
And I needed a Captain for it, so asked Chatgpt to create this using this prompt "Create a picture of a man standing at the helm of a Dutch opduwer, high details, good for creating a 3D figure for 3D printing. Use a plain white background with soft studio lighting."
After a few adjustment I got a good picture.
This picture were then used to generate a 3D figure with makerworlds Image to 3D Model.
Printed in resin 0.05mm layers, think it's acceptable, the only issue is weight (not for this model but in general, need to figure out how to split it in two and make the hallow)
Next is paint
