Hi,back after many years absence with a question - BUT, first a little background.
I built this kit back in 2006 and decided at the time to leave the sails off. Can't recall why. Now, my wife has asked that I put the sails on. I still have the original sail cloth that came with the kit and I also have the instruction book. What I don't have are the measurements of the sails and I can't recall if there actually was a plan for them.
So, would anyone have these measurements or be able to point me to somewhere that I might be able to get them. Any help would be appreciated.
As a side note, I thought at the time that this model would look great scaled up and radio controlled. To cut a long story short, I scaled it from 1/50 to 1/20 and scratch built it over about 12 months with many headaches along the way. We eventually went sailing and what a surprise. With 12Kg ballast, a false keel (another 1.5Kg) and an extended rudder (it would hardly turn with the scale size), it performed way beyond expectations. Even in a moderate breeze, all the sails set nicely and it is reasonably maneuverable.
