Pearl Harbour aftermath
« on: December 07, 2025, 10:29:41 pm »

This video from Oceanliner Designs on the salvage efforts after the Pearl Harbour attack is too good to hide away elsewhere on the Forum. A really comprehensive description of how the stricken vessels were salvaged with some incredible footage. Amazing stuff!

Thanks Colin.......

I understood that the 'Parbuckling' process .....righting of the Costa Concordia was a new concept of rotating and salvaging the hull of the cruise liner [year 2012].

This .doco showed the same 'Parbuckling' process used on the USS Oklahoma after her immense hull damage and capsize in Pearl Harbor following the Japanese air attack in 1942

I suppose that if we delve into the Old-Testament we would find that Noah had similar contingency plans  O0
