Hi everybody!
I'm from Barcelona in Catalonia by the Mediterranean Sea. My English is not very good, you'll have to forgive my mistakes and help me a little bit, I keep learning all the time!
I have always loved handcrafting, and I've been model making since I was a boy.
During my youth I built and flew different types of airmodels, including control-line models and RC biplanes. Later on I focused on RC gliders for some years, and also built some rubber-powered free flight models. In my late fifties I shifted to model sailboats, starting with a MicroMagic, then a Victoria and finally I scratch built a one meter gaff cutter which I'm very proud of.
Some years ago I bought a second-hand small lathe and milling machine, and after a training period I found out I could build simple steam engines to propel model boats. At the moment I have three steam boats and I'm building my third engine.
I'm glad to become a Mayhem member and I look forward to learning a lot from you all, as well as sharing my experiences.
