Suitable boat for a Motor !
« on: May 15, 2026, 05:18:22 pm »

Hi, I have an old 12V Hectoperm and am looking for some ideas of what I might use it in.  A bit back to front I know but it was bought years ago and i can't remember what for, possibly my Perkassa which it was OK in but a bit slow.  I suspect suggestions will include: Tugs, Fishing boats or possibly Naval vessels.  Any recommendations of kits, hulls  or  ??? most gratefully received.  Thank you.  Crock  :-)

Personally I would sell the motor, lots of peeps out there will grab it. Or yes you will need to go for the designs you suggested, be aware they can be power hungry, however in a a tug / heavy displacement boat with batteries as ballast perfect ?.well I think
Greater minds ????

Hi, re the Hectoperm, is it an orange and black one?  Then there is the grey one with or without the gearbox.
