Hi All, Recently missed out on a ProBoat PBR on Ebay, but now know Deans Marine do a kit. I've tried chasing down another Proboat one, but would consider the Deans Marine. Not sure the kit comes a Jetdrive though? Anyone know where I might still find the Proboat one-and does it have any drawbacks?

proboat/horizon hobby stopped selling the pibber years ago, the only place you will find one is used.  Its major downside is the same one all the scale proboat models have.  Its coupler between the motor and propshaft is made of some cheap rubber crap that dry rots in about 2 years time.  forcing you to replace the couplers not long after buying it.  the space in the boat is cramped, making it difficult to do the update.   It also has a very weird shaped hatch, making it difficult to get a normal sized lipo or 6 cell nimh battery into the hull.

other than that, its not a bad boat.

Hi,
Thank you very much.
One feature i forgot about until i powered it up is the fact that i fitted illumination to all the boats engine and dash board gauges, (DOH).
Anyhoo...a couple of pics of the control cabin dash illuminated at night, very hard to capture the detail with a phone camera, gives you an idea.
