Arno,
 A great thanks for your compliment as well as joking comment. %% %% %%
Well, it's your turn to show us a successful sailing of superbly finished Shannon on the water.
I wish I could see the boat sailing gorgeously by the video in this spring at your(Kim's?) thread. :embarrassed: :-))

PBR... bitterly and sourly sounded name and memory.     This one was really what I sooo eagerly wanted to get in those days since it appeared sooo fast by its jet drive.!!!! But it was in vain as a result to my regret...
Instead, I decided to challenge another style of jet driven boat using Lindberg 1/32 PT-109 for enjoying the high-speed run. O0
And I did it at last in last year.

A jet driven boat seems much faster than conventional prop driven boat in my experience as seen in the following pics.
Wake itself is quite different from that of prop, boat, namely soooo powerful and long enough to let us feel some kind of absolute speed.!! O0 O0  The following pics are two PT-109s...jet one and prop one. However even prop one is soo fast for me... but jet one is faster by far really.!! O0 :o  Last two pics are the prop driven boat and compare the wakes of the two different boats. I repeat even prop boat is so fast. :}

I wish Paul-H may be able to find an awesome (ProBoat)PBR unlike me,!!! :-))

Thanks Kiyo, Ref the PBR - I may do yet! But- i also have a top secret new project! Inspired by your PT boats, and an old film on youtube (The Broad Fourteens) , I have just tested my new Vosper MTB, twin engined, twin rudders, contra-rotating screws - trials have gone well. She has only to receive final camoflage paint and a white ensign to replace the red one. She owes much to the genius of a Mr Wolf (aka Karol) so I cannot claim the total credit. I am currently away by the sea, but will progress and provide pictures soon.

Hi Paul-H,
I would like to see your new Vosper MTB sailing nicely on the water in the very near future.!! :-))
A MTB model boat is generally and always interesting and exciting to get it to run on the water at high speed in my case.
It may be partly because it needs some kind of tension in operating the fast model boat just like I used to experience in RC planes flying. O0

A jet MTB and prop MTB are both interesting to operate on the water dynamically with splashing the water drastically.!! wow! %% :-))
Following pics and videos are my PT-109s, jet one and prop one. Jet one is much faster than prop one. :}
Full throttle mode of the jet MTB will enter from around 1:30 in the video below.

Paul-H,
Thanks a lot.!! :-)) :embarrassed:
I think a scale model ship/boat had better run fast on the water to some extent if it is a RC fast boat/ship. O0 %%  Byuuunnonn!
Pics 2,3,4 show our Navy's jet patrol boat that can run extremely fast on the sea like my jet boat {-) , sometimes "escorting" uninvited foreign naval vessels inside or outside our territorial sea.!! {-) {-) {-)

Those Navy Jet boats look amazing! Fortunately, in 2020 our Government reversed an old decision and refounded 'Coastal Forces' as the 'Coastal Forces Squadron'. The old 'Coastal Forces' had a proud history and 2000 vessels. We don't have so many now, a pity as we have much to intercept too! The quayside in the picture used to resound with MTB engine noise, now so quiet.
