Hey,


Just wanted to say hi.


I haven?t built a boat in 25 years. Due to a change in life circumstances I have got the opportunity and time to commit to building again.
My plan is ambitious but why not! I?m going to build the Billings, Fairmount Alpine.


At the moment I am planning on wrapping the hull in glass fibre, mainly for strengthening. But since I have never done this before I?ve been watching a lot of YouTube and reading the advice sections in this forum.


I will post photos periodically as I move through the build, if any one has built this boat and has any top tips please let me know!


Also if there are any model boat clubs near Bath / Bristol please let me know- I would love to join an active community.

Clubs? Have a trawl through the clubs board on here. Maybe post the question there.

Not sure where in Bath/Bristol area you are but Yate & Sodbury Model Boat club meet most Thursday mornings at West Country Water Park at 10:30 onwards.  If that?s suitable then message me on here or go to the Club FB page if you are on FB.
