Bob,
Boy, that's something of an oldie! Try Model Boats issue Sept 1989.

I have fond memories of this model which might still exist?  It was my first model not to be powered by dry cells, it used a 6 volt 4 Ah accumulator.  This drove a Monoperm Super Special motor connected to a P30 propeller.  Like its namesake it would zip around the lake at 5-6 ft/sec which made sailing it with a single channel rudder only RC system quite interesting.  Life was less stressful when a 2 function RC system was installed!

If I might butt in!

HMS Ganges was the pull out plan in the September 1989 issue.

HMS Manxman was Glynn's Feature Plan. The article was in the magazine but you needed to buy the plan separately It is still available from Sarik Hobbies:

https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/hms-manxman-mm1438/

Hope this helps.

Well Magazine arrived, good read and interesting to see names of shops long gone and also the style of articles and layout. Biggest surprise though was looking at some event images and there were two pictures of an officer I used to serve with, small world.
