More specifically Mill Dams, Reservoirs & Canals.   Apart from the local boat pond, I'd like to sail a Victoria or Micro-Magic elsewhere. So if there's anyone out there, particularly in Kirklees or Calderdale who has a favourite Dam, Reservoir or stretch of Canal fit for the purpose, please let me know.

Your stuck with Calderdale canal and local park lakes Tyke as councillors were hell bent at one point to having mill dams filled in cos they were assessed as dangerous to kids cos they could fall in and drown. this was at a time when swimming seemed to be dropped of the curriculum and replaced with computer studies? Trouble is with canals the water is more below ground/wind level than above?

On the UK Micro Magic site there is a map showing members locations.

I know a lot of the guys in the East and South East have got together by using this map and maybe it could be useful for you as well.

As we get more members and more locations marked up it gets easier to plan meetings.

Have a look at www.magicmicro.org/e107_plugins/google_maps/google_maps.php

Check out the MPBA site for clubs, not all clubs are affiliated I guess but it is a good start.
