Servos servos servos which powerfull ones? Please help
« on: February 18, 2008, 03:20:09 am »

Hi Chaps  O0

I need to put some powerfull servos in my tito neri and i have no idea what ones to get  :D Iv been lookin online at some, if you have tryed or can give any info would be great  ;D

Il start by saying i am the most useless person when it comes to numbers and rc elecs ever lol

Well i have tryed some 3003 servos in my tug but they couldnt deal with the power

The ones iv seen are:

Hitec 645MG BB size 41/20/38 ( 9.6KG at 6v ) £29

Thunder tiger super torgue digtial car servo size 41.8/20.6/39.6 ( 14.5KG at 6v ) £56

Hitec HS5995TG size 40/20/37 ( 24KG at 6v ) £75

Hitec HS5955TG Titanium digital gear servo size 40/20/37 (24KG at 6v ) £75

Iv never used a Ditial servo before so not sure what they are all about??

My radio gear in the tito is a... Futaba T6EXAP Computerized Airplane System on 40Mhz << if that helps with anything. I was thinkin of gettin a 2.4 set up at some point later on too so i guess i should take into acount what servos will work with that set up too :)

Any help would be soooo good :)

All the best

Read the thread on RC Forum Tito Build.  You know where it is.  All the detail is in there.   It has been discussed numerous times.

Don't worry. All the servos you have mentioned should work with your radio. They are - or ought to be - compatible with any current RC gear; the difference is in the way the servo deals with the signal pulses; not the pulses themselves. One point you should be aware of is that digital servos take more current than "normal" types, so you'll need a bigger RX pack (unless you use a BEC or a P92 DB).

Talk to Westborne Models they supplied me with two servos that overcame the prop power

They were "blue something" Ill look back and see if I can find out the correct name
