"We have surmounted all the perils and endured all the agonies of the past. We shall provide against and thus prevail over the dangers and problems of the future, withhold no sacrifice, grudge no toil, seek no sordid gain, fear no foe. All will be well. We have, I believe, within us the life-strength and guiding light by which the tormented world around us may find the harbour of safety, after a storm-beaten voyage."

.... and so to the building board....I must commence - and thank you all for making me see sense -

be patient my friends I am just starting to put my words together  :

John,

Glad to see that you are going to show your build, it will be good to learn some more skills, keep up the good work and to the goose who voted no, as they say over here tuff titties.....

"The mood of Britain is wisely and rightly averse from every form of shallow or premature exultation. This is no time for boasts or glowing prophecies, but there is this—a year ago our position looked forlorn, and well nigh desperate, to all eyes but our own. Today we may say aloud before an awe-struck world, 'We are still masters of our fate. We still are captain of our souls.'"

"We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing-grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!"

canny book that my mate... nearly as good as 'Merchant Ship Construction written by H.J.Pursey THE EXTRA MASTER'

John,

Having learned that you are considering another build thread I decided that I HAVE to see this including the pictures.

Go for it,

John I watched your last build and as I had attempted the same boat realised were I made all the cock ups.

I am even tempted to try again following your build instructions after I finish what is on the bench at this time.

Stuff the `PO` faced back stabbers go for it my son.

Yours in admiration Colin H.

John,
Wouldnt it be tidier if you started a build thread and I can delete the previous posts, unless you prticularly want them left, but we are already on page 2 before any build pics.

What is this thing you have about deleting everything Bob. Why not leave this thread for the comments, questions and answers and start another build topic as before?  :-\

Its quite simple Dicky,
If I am looking for a build thread do you expect to trawl through 2 pages of your survey before getting to it.
Its called tidying up, keeping things easy to use and view, and does it really fit in with Beginners Start Here, 2 pages of survey.

Hi all,

Bob, before we get any misunderstandings - it took Dicky a long time to talk me back to this table to start with; the plan build I am going to do will go along with the other plan builds obviously this thread was just started to see if 'anyone' would be interested in the build.

This build was and is part of a series of 5 plan builds which I had outlined to add to the Forum.  These will go in the sequence of the 'PLAN BUILD FOR BEGINNERS' the pictures of the build so far have been put on by us and were merely informative just to see and show folk what model is under construction at the moment - and, along with that model, there may be/should be a full written text from the beginning of the plan to the finished model.

So any problems with keeping it all but splitting the build and survey and moving the survey.

John, I missed this thread and have just looked in... thats one impressive looking bit of work you've got stuck into there and it's going to be a shame to cover all that work up! Still, it won't be a boat unless you do so keep it up as I'm looking forward to the finished job! O0
