I suppose you could but for the cost of the release agent, not worth mucking about with, I bought a 500ml bottle which I have used for five hulls so far and there is still over half left it is like water so you only need a small amount, cost from memory was over here 6 dollars Aussie, cheap as chips....

Hi Shane, having made my own fibre glass hulls the most important points have been well covered in the Forum, just a couple of tips, Don't use a silicon based release agent as you will have trouble with any paint finish you may apply,it takes some shifting.
I have used perforated zinc for planking the plug mould if the curves are complex, it takes the shape of the curves easily, then I filled the holes with polyfilla and sanded down.

also the pva will work if you water it down and you allready have some go for it!! if you dont then as said buy the propper stuff its cheap as CHIPS as our ausie friend says ;D!!
