Model Boat Magazine & Mountfleet
« on: June 17, 2006, 07:40:39 am »

Hi

I have been away from the boats for a while but I tried to get onto the model boat magazine site.

It is a shame it went down, there was some really good stuff on there, having said that model boat mahem was one of the sites I used to visit a lot and got some great tips when we started out, so I guess we will all just stick here now ?

I was actually looking to see what Mountfleet were up to lately as we are talking about getting the great big trawler (I think it was Boston Typhoon), I got really excited when I saw that they were going to be in Doncaster in July but then realised that it was 2005 !

Me and my father in law met the couple to buy three mountfleet models and loved them after that we saw that the site was advertising the business for sale - does anyone have any news on them ?

Thanks

Dave

... I know its an oldish thread, but I couldn't help noticing Mountfleet Models are on the invite list to Deans Marine open days in September - Doug also mentioned in the thread that no website was quoted, but I have since found the following :

http://www.mountfleetmodels.co.uk

The site certainly appears to be full of life - and they have some interesting looking items too - anyone seen their Pilot Boat Britannia complete I wonder?

Cheers, Brian
