Post by: jumpin_jack on April 11, 2006, 07:13:31 pm
I am Looking to a submarine as my next project..It probably wont be until the autum/winter or i have had chance to sweet talk the wife, whichever comes soonest.
The Sheerline Trafalgar is one that i have had my eye on for sometime now, so i am wondering how easy this model is to build/sail,
Any help with this would be appreciated ;D

Very nice model to built, without any major problems.
The instructions are very clear, even though thay are all in imperial measurments.
The model looks very good on the water, pics attached.
Finally, Chris at Sheerline is very helpful, a quick phone call will sort out any problems during the build.

To be honest I was at the pond and my wife called me to say the bidding was at ?700+ with an hour to go.
She then called after the auction and said it had sold for ?1205.
Of course I did not believe her until I got home...........gobsmacked or what.

The logic defies me - Buy it Now ?750 and that is ignored and the bidding goes mad.

Not that I'm complaining and yes my wife has a big smile on her face, with comments like I like that bag, those shoes are nice,

Sorry dear, I'm looking a new model already

Well done, I watched the bidding with my eyes popping, I'm sure the buyer will be pleased with the Trafalger. That's auctions for you....get your unwanted items on eBay.

Hello all, Alan, now you should be of an age where you were taught in imperial units surely  ;D failing that why not buy a wonderful piece of measuring kit  - a digital micrometer which can measure in both imp / metric.

See you at the pond-side over the summer

cheers

Jim
