Can you help please.
My Futaba S3003 Servo leads are made up of a Red, Black and White wire. Could someone please confirm the identify of each wire i.e Positive , Negative and Signal. It's tempting to assume the obvious but I need to make sure. :-\
Many thanks
Barrie.

For what its worth the palest lead colour is always the signal, and on all receivers I have met the signal wire is always closest to the electronics.
Darkest wire is negative and the other is positive. Negative is usually (but not universally) the furthest from the electronics of the receiver, with pos in the middle. They are arranged, I think in this way so that there is no smoke emitted if they are put in the receiver the wrong way round - but there is no servoing either!
I have one ancient sanwa servo where all three wires are black, and I had to take a guess at what they were, and got it right.

If using Airtronics receivers the red and black wires are the wrong way round according to M-Sonik-4 Instruction Sheets, so check this out carefully. This seems to be the only exception to the rule.

Ta very much for your contribution Chaps (fatlion.com link very useful) . The I think I can safely connect it all up now, if you don't see a mushroom cloud over Hertford this weekend, it has all gone OK.
Thanks again to all,
Barrie.
