Looks very good, Bernhard.
But why is the bulldog regarding the lifebelt so suspiciously? Does he know something the Captain doesn't know?

Hi Bernhard
What a lovely launch! It's a real shame that the Proteus kit isn't available any longer. I have acquired a Wideawake hull (hence my nickname) and would love to have a Proteus to put in it. BTW it looks as if you've wood strip lagged the gas tank. Are you having any problem with loss of pressure due to cooling? I did the same with the tank on the Gemini set up in my Krick Victoria and have now removed the lagging which has helped to maintain pressure. I'm experimenting with conroled heating of the tank as well.
Cheers

Cracking shots of a really nice launch. I like this type of launch better than the pretty Laker types and this one looks particularly realistic.
As for lagging the gas tank, as the gas is used and the internal energy is lost through the evaporation process the temperature falls. This then leads to the rate of evaporation falling and hence gas pressure. To help combat this you need to try to warm the gas tank via either putting it close to the separator tank or running exhaust steam past it etc. Unfortunately lagging it wil make the effect worse and you may have gas pressure related issues.

hi........Thanks.........yes i to like the used look more..and i try to have this look realistic..ok....i will maby try take some off the wood off, the gas tank...under it,, so it can get better heat from the copper there come from the burner...

A beautiful job Bernhard,
I just love the detail work and that engine looks a real piece of art.....Looking forward to seeing her on the water.

Bernard, this is one of the most realistic launches I have seen in a long time. I love the detail work such as the lamps and the workbench and the slight weathering effects on the internals.
Very attractive model which will look superb on the water.

Although this is not my sort of build, I think it is one of the most impressive models I have seen on this forum. Congratulations. BY.

What do you use for caulking on the decking planks Bernard looks great !

Also did you purchase the f/g deck and apply the wood on it or did you just get the hull only?
Do you think the TVR1A would be suitable engine for this hull?
-
hi........Yes i got the deck to... and to caulking ,,i have use thick black lyt,,,with wax on.. the one i use, when i work with leather,,,,i think the tvra1 can be used in this hull...it is a strong engine...bot i havent try it,,in so big a hull...
