Hi
I recently came into possession of a RC Thornycroft Air Sea Rescue launch which has somewhat been remodifyed and repainted which I am hoping to revert it back to original.
I have searched the net but found very little info on her. Does anybody know of places i could try, mainly pictures & drawings etc for colour and deck fittings
Many thanks
Steve

Hi there Hern the Hunter
If you have a look at Bluebird's questions and answers for the 63 ft Whaleback there is a picture of a Thornycroft Air Sea Rescue Launch - the model actually belongs to a guy called Christian Shepherd cdsc123 which Christian has built.
Is this the same as the Model you are trying to refurbish?
If so, Model Boats Plans Service do the Plans - MM1334 - 67 ft Thornycroft. Also, there is a kit available - eeee cant remember who makes it now, but, Christian will know straight away.
Also, and last but not least. If you can acquire a backissue of Model Boats Magazine - June 1982 - in there - there is an article buy a guy named John Pritchard, this article covers these craft.

Hi Steve
I do have one or two colour photos I can send you, PM me your e-mail address.
John- The only kit I've ever seen was made by Binnacle! Is there a bigger one?
HSL Mouldings will shortly be offering a 1/24th semi-kit based on my hull, as far as I know it's not yet on offer though.
