Has anybody built this kit and experienced any problems ?

Hello,I have not personally built the Mantua SOS.But Im currently working on a Sergal/Mantua kit and can tell you that the quallity of the kit and plans and instructions are pretty good. :) I can also say that the Mantua kit makes one very impressive build.But the kit out of the box is not historically accurate.If your looking for accuracy,you will have to do quite a bit of kit bashing.Take a look at these threads.Cheers Walter    http://www.modelshipworld.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1710   http://modelshipworld.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1425&highlight=soveriegn+seas

I totally agree with Walter on this.  Do your homework to achieve historical accuracy. Sergal/Mantua do supply quality kits..
