Title: Will a FASST Radio work through the water?
Post by: homerlex on June 17, 2008, 03:22:11 pm
(sorry about the double post - I really wanted this post here and not in the Dry Dock section)

I am getting a Futaba 10C radio for my helicopters.   Just curious if FASST systems will work controlling a submarine under water.

Anyone know?

NO it won't, the 2.4ghz frequency bounces off the water and wont penetrate it. for subs, keep to 40mhz, or 75mhz if you are in the states
