Hello to all! I discovered this forum while surfing all of the large scale RC sites I could find. Although I have built several static sail and power model ships, I find myself itching to build a large RC cutter or schooner.
Does anyone have any experience useing fiberglass reinforced closed-cell foam on a large hull? Seems like it would be an interesting medium to use. Easy shapeing, can't sink, stable, and although it would take a lot of ballast the finished model would still weigh the same as it's counterpart built out of any other material.

What's your opinion?

Thanks......
