I have a 36" wooden Fairey Marine Swordsman that I use for a rescue boat for my CMB engined FSVR, I have a 12V SLA battery 7.2Ah and a 100A solid state controller.
So I want to have fun recovering my dead boats.
What can I get that is cheap, powerfull and will not catch fire when I use it for 5 minutes.
Is it Torque or RPM I need and what prop is suitable ??? ???
Thanks Colin Head

you can use either torque or speed.
For a fast motor like a Graupner 700 BB turbo I would use a two bladed fast electric prop.
For a geared motor a large prop, 3 or 4 blade will power her nicely, but awkward to get the right combination for decent speed.
Up to you.
Cortina blower motors run about 5000 rpm and will turn a large prop!!
