What size and type of prop are you using?

i had one with a 380 in it, - way overpowered ! monoperm would also do the job..... but the question of prop size will effect the outcome...
-
I fitted a proper kort prop to mine and promptly burnt out the 380 motor.
I then fitted a small buhler (yes I know..heard it all before!), but its still going strong and doesnt pull too much load.

the prop i have is a 40mm 4blade, i have a unused graupner 500 7.2 motor wonder if could use that .i also have 7.2 battery charger and 3000 7.2 battery so if i could use them save me some money .thanks

sorry meant to say prop is a brass one.

Your motor would be a bit overpowered.
BUT
You dont have to run it flat out and some speed controllers can be adjusted so as to give reduced revs or even use the trim on the radio set instead of the sticks.

I'm using a Graupner Speed 400 with gearbox 2.33:1. I have also installed a larger 3 blade prob with in the nozzle where I had to sand the blade tips to fit. Lots of pulling power and with a large battery it runs forever. The photo shows the club barge I pull around with ease. My son bought the kit when he was 15 and just installed the prop shaft and rudders. He is now 37 and I completed the modified model this year. Long shelf life.
