Title: transmitter trouble???
Post by: J.beazley on August 15, 2006, 08:56:55 am
ive got a 6 channel transmitter with my helicopter running 35mhz with removeable crystal.

my question is, i use the same reciever in all my models with either a 27mhz or 40mhz crystal but can i change the crystal in my 35mhz transmitter so i can use the same transmitter for my various models???

No.  You need a transmitter for the band that the receiver will be using, and the appropriate crystals.

so theres no chance of buying a 40mhz tx and rx crystal set for my 35mhz transmitter as they wont work even tho the reciever is a 40mhz jobby???

Correct, the transmitter and the receiver must both operate not only at the same frequency band 40mhz. 27mhz etc but on the same modulation, I.E. AM or FM.

you may find thats an expensive way of doing it with the changeable module its easier and cheaper to buy a 40meg TX
