Post by: Stavros on August 25, 2008, 07:09:20 pm
Well how on earth I kept a straight face when i told Norry what i was going to do with one of his hull will never know but it is going to happen. As soon as Norry stops LAUGHING enough to do the hulls Stavros is going to build a CATMANSPRING.Oh Now I hear you say what the heck has the daft welsh so and so thought of now well my hearties you heard it first on here a CATERMERAGN SPRINGER,ye you did read ti correct a catamaran.Norry who is such a nice chappie is going to mould me 2 halves so I can build something along the lines of a sealink fast ferry so watch this space,I think if I am right that it will be a World first unless of course you lot know different!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fantastic innovation in springer variations.

Scoot and Mustang Sally already have the hydrofoils in play...
They keep the bow dive to a minimum.

Now if you could get the boat hull up out of the water, that would be something...

Damn you all,
I wanted to be the first with a hydro Springer.
I was going to use one of the plastic ebay hulls to keep the weight down.
Sadly my current building time for my last normal Springer is almost a year, so I doubt I will be first now.
Especially having read in a previous post that a Club 500 can be built in seven hours!   :embarrassed: :'(

Shouldn't you have to build two quarter beam hulls to stay within the limits of the springer design? Half beam between the hulls + 2 quarts makes beam.

edit: Or 3 thirds
