hi guys,
today i have had my futaba 2.4GHz transmitter replaced an it now has the I sticker on the bottom, however when i try using the new transmitter with the receiver (that was used with the old transmitter) it does not receive the signal, the receiver is flashing green but this means the ID is unmatched. so i was wondering if anybody that has replace their 2.4GHz transmitter has experienced this and how can i sort it out?
any help would be greatly appreciated,
cheers,
Dan

Hi Dan
I'm not familiar in detail with the Futaba kit. I use Spektrum. However if it says that the IDs don't match - does that mean you need to rebind (or whatever Futaba call the process) the RX to the new TX?

dan,
I had the same problem the button you are looking for on is
on the reciever. it is located between the 2 ariels on the side
it is very small!!
to do this turn on the transmiter and power up the reciever then press the button
you should have this in the instruction manuel if not let me know

Hi Dan
I thought that must be the problem but not being familiar with the Futaba gear wasn't sure of the procedure. As you probably realise, part of the secururity of the 2.4GHz systems is that the RX only responds to it's "bound" transmitter. The fact that this was suspect was the reason for the withdrawal of some Futaba sets in the first place. Most 2.4GHz gear has a similar requirement, bluetooth earpieces and mobile 'phones for instance.
BTW you probably also realise that it's possible to bind more than one RX t your TX so you can use it with several boats if you get a RX for each.
