Title: Buzz Lightyear to the rescue
Post by: AlanP on August 31, 2008, 08:22:37 pm
My second Springer Buzz Lightyear had his first wetting today and made 2 rescues with his super grip knees   :D

How many more Springers will I have to build before I can say that I have a fleet?   {-)

Hi Arrow, they are cut from the rubber that goes between a pipe bracket and the pipe, it is used to stop vibration on boats, full size ones that is.

I have a Barbie Springer.
It does have a pointy bow, as the genuine Barbie deck is about a inch longer than a springer hull. But as the front pushers stick out beyond, I don't see this as a problem. (and it's for fun only)

Think you had better post a photo of it Bob as Boatmadman (my springer sumo opponent) may want to study it   {-)

Don't really want to spoil the party, but that isn't a Buzz; it's a Woody inside what looks like a plastic aerosol can top. Call me sad if you like (or worse), but sometimes I have to pay attention to my small grandson, or he bites my knees......................

Blast! He's six tomorrow; I'll have to be careful of the head butts from now on!

Sorry FLJ cant take the word of a granddad, will consult with my 6 year old grandson when I come back from Woodbridge

Would have had Garfield driving but would not fit into the can top.

Must try and keep up with these things

Steady on lads, remember we have all age groups in this Forum. Also, let's keep high standards in the Forum, please.

A splinter further and you get moderated!

OK, Ok, as I started this thread I would like to rename it, (if I knew how)

WOODY RIDES TO THE RESCUE

Must try and watch a bit more telly, or perhaps get out a bit more  :)

My knowledge of Buzz comes from a grandson who has a model of Buzz. When you press a button he speaks certain phrases over and over and over and over and over......UGH!

Every toy seems to make some kind of strangled electronic racket these days, I think my biggest blunder was getting the little fella a toy laptop computer, i thought it would be a good way of keeping his interest away from my pc, it kind of worked but the sounds it makes drive me BARMY  >>:-( help :'(

So now we have established that my Springer is Woody and not Buzz  :'(  Woody will be travelling from Cumbria at 6am tomorrow down to Woodbridge in Suffolk where he may be riding into battle on the local boating lake.  {-)      Possible photo's next week.

Oh dear!

Woody is a bit of a cowboy !

Err did he assist in the build?

well we all know what cowboys are renowned for  :embarrassed: {-)
If memory of the film is right Woody was the sort of sensible one (I think) so all should be fine  O0

R

How long will you be down my way then?

Will be down there till next Monday or Tuesday. Looking at the local model club it looks like they are mostly rag and stick so I will take my 2 Springers one afternoon or evening to give my son a lesson in Springer wrestling. Don't want to upset the locals  ;D

I will have a look at this thread when I get to my sons, in case you want to have a meet.

Off to bed as I have to be up at the crack of Sparrows

AlanP, you know that shape looks a bit like an army tank. A military camo paint job, some hand-rails and a howitser out the front and then CHARGE O0
