Hi,
I think I still have the instructions for these controllers ...somewhere , if so I will scan it in and post for your info....they are brilliant by the way   O0 !,
I have two of them and they handle serious amps.
20 am continuous, 60 amp short term and 300 amp peak  + an internal thermal cut out.
Regards sub. :-))

Me too , neither

A little googling determined that Modelcontrollers.com seemed to be known for submarine control devices, but their web address has lapsed and is available.

It seems to be a brushed ESC, so as weeds suggests plug it up (me, I would use my servo tester to drive it) and press the button on neutral, full ahead and full astern and see what happens.

Maybe an approach to one of the expert sub makers would produce someone who knows the device?
sorry I can't help more
andrew

THIS SPEED CONTROLLER MUST BE ONE OF THE BEST ON THE SCENE I HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS IN MY TUGS OFTEN DRIVING A 5" PROP DIRECT. I USED TO GET THEM FROM A CHAP IN PAISLEY SCOTLAND BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT SEEMS HE HAS LEFT THE SCENE AND I CANT GET THEM ANYMORE ,WHICH IS A GREAT SHAME AS THEY WERE VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY AND ALMOST INDESTRUCTIBLE, SO BEST OF LUCK WITH IT THEY ARE LIKE GOLD DUST.

Well I'm not offended other being called Mick which made me choke on my dinner.

You've got my website, email, location and possibly Goggle got my phone number.
I don't think there is anything left?

For that unit the setup is through the solid-state logo on the web archive.

Sub, I found that a laser printer doubles as a steam iron and makes the instructions appear as new.
Never tried the trouser press yet!

Blimey, blast from the past, Mike.

I heard you had turned up at the Brighton model world and were enquiring after me at the AMS stand. I was there, but on another day.

Are you making stuff again, or just enjoying the hobby from a distance?

Phoned Andrew #1 and it was him,not you.

I've just started clearing the decks and registered the website 10 days ago.
All coming back to me now but I don't know if I'm coming or going. No time for newspapers, telly or footy matches.

Mike makes the best speed cont's ever (in my opinion) seriously they are. if you get a chance to use them then do you wont be disappointed. i have used them in every boat i have ever used and unless you get them wet they just don't fail any one that knows me and the way i sail will testify to the fact i give them a dam good thrashing
