Title: Marine Modelling - Submarine Special
Post by: tony52 on November 14, 2008, 01:42:07 pm
Hi All,

The new special from MMI is now in the shops. Bought mine yesterday.

A must for anyone with any interest in model Submarines. A free easy-build plan (HMS Unseen) by Hal Harrison. To buy the special with the free plan is cheaper than ordering Hals last easy build sub (Undine) from MMI plans service.

I have now added HMS Unseen to my list of to-do's. That will take me to 347 years old!!

Best Regards, Tony.

Description

Delve into the fascinating world of submarines with this 100 page bumper-packed Special Issue from Marine Modelling International magazine,
looking at the only craft in the maritime world that operates in three dimensions, very similar to an aeroplane.

The Special covers an in-depth look at both model and full-size submarines, including the development and history of full-size submarines
and modelling techniques and materials for model versions, It also includes a FREE plan of HMS Unseen, which is designed to automatically
surface if a mechanical or electrical failure occurs.

Triffick.

We placed a 1/4 page colour Ad in this publication and haven't yet received a copy.

OK - so I sent a rocket down the speaking tube to Traplet, and today received my copy  :o

Just in case any of you lot think I'm totally mad to advertise a sound amplifier in a publication dedicated to model submarines, I'll have to disappoint you.........

They've published the wrong ad copy, even though they'd sent us the right proof. Some days it's best to stay away from the office, innit?

FLJ,

Are you sure Traplets is not actually a government department..........

So! Private Sector Good, Public Sector Bad? You only have to follow the news recently to see that there's nothing to choose between them.
