At the Warwick boat show Speedline Models (http://www.speedlinemodels.com/ (http://www.speedlinemodels.com/)) is bringing out the kit very soon. I aksed because I liked a particular boat on show and he said price would be around £50. The parts look very nice although there will be plenty for the modeller to get his teeth into.

I had a go at another "kit" earlier this year and wrote up my experiences on my blog: http://philsworkbench.blogspot.com/search/label/Pilot%20Boat (http://philsworkbench.blogspot.com/search/label/Pilot%20Boat). Now I'm in the market for a Speedline kit one day.

Hi Dan,
I have always looked on these boats as a bit of a "plain Jane" with not a great deal of detailing, but a wonderful hull that would go quickly.
However, a week or so ago I was asked by the organisers of the Hospital boat in the Channel Islands if I would build them a model of their"new" boat, the "Flying Christine 111" based on a Nelson 45 boat, ( pictures enclosed) and I couldn't resist.
So am just waiting for the plans and pictures to arrive from the organisation to get started, but hope to build at 1:12 scale.
I must say it's a bonny and interesting looking boat, and I think would make a change from the norm. :-))
cheers, neil.
