What do you do with your old Model Boats Magazine?? Shred them for animal bedding, Stack them out of sight in a cupboard?
Personally after a couple of months I rip out the articles I want and then put the magazine out with the rest of the papers to be recycled.
After doing this recently I got to thinking, that can be dangerous for me.
With 2205 members there might be some who might be modeling on a very tight budget and do not buy the magazine due to cost, wanting other parts to finish the model rather than buying a magazine. There could also be some modellers who only want certain months because of an article in it.
So why not recycle the magazines have a board in the sales section for magazines that are not longer wanted, members PM you if you have one on offer that they want you then send it to them. If there is a section you want before you put it on offer, scan it or put it through a copier, obviously not the whole magazine. If two members PM you for the same magazine, then it is first come first served.
I think the cost of postage for a magazine is not that prohibitive
No contact through the forum as the usual Mayhem disclaimer would apply, blah, blah blah
Have a think about it, you might like it.
If you think I have lost the plot with this idea, you will not be alone SWMBO often thinks that ok2 ok2 ok2
