Title: prop vibrations

can some one help me one of my props has a vibration in it at high speeds any suggestions :((

Possibly the shaft isn't 100% straight or the prop itself could be out of balance - slightly bent blade for example. Can you try another prop on the shaft to establish whether it's the prop or the shaft?

are you 100% certain you have the right size coupling , some one had the same problem not long ago .and it went on for ages and turned out to be the couplong, try running the boat on the bench without the prop for starters.

Also high speed props should be balanced, especially metal ones.

Thanks for the coments you have made i will try then out and let you know  :-)) by the way I am building the deansmarine s y Komit and i am about 80% finished can some one tell me how to down load the pictures i have taken of the build.

I take it from your follow up post the problems show up on the bench?
You won't reach those revs in water.
If it is out of balance by weight then adhesive lead tape will help the diagnosis at least.
